Besides perform a complete Visual Examination and analysis to determine the best possible prescription for each patients eyes. We strive to analyze your lifestyle and work activities to craft a set of glasses that will make your life easier. EXAMINATION A visual examination should be performed once a year to make sure the eyes are healthy, as well as seeing correctly. Eyes just like the rest of our bodies change, but with the eyes we may not have obvious signs. Glaucoma, cataracts and complications form diabetes and high blood pressure may show up in the eyes with out warning. A check of our vision is also quite important to make sure we are seeing optimally. Changes in our prescription can cause headaches and other visual discomfort so it is important to have your eyes checked and corrected if need be. Children beginning with preschool should have regular eye examinations to make sure they can and are performing to their maximum. If you as a parent notice the child holding the book to close, sitting to close to the television, squinting at distances, rubbing the eyes or sensitivity to light the eyes should be check. School aged children should have their eyes checked at least once a year to make sure that they are seeing optimally. During their growth period from birth to late teens, the eyes may change as the child grows. It is important that we keep the prescription correct. CONTACT LENS EXAMINATION A contact lens examination begins with a routine eye check but we also measure the eye and examine the cornea and surrounding tissue to make sure it is health and could accommodate a contact lens. Part of the contact lens examination is to allow the patient to try the lens in the office to make sure this is the direction they want to take and that they could handle the contacts.
